Abstract
Although the confluence of corporate digitalization, collaborative innovation networks, and supply-chain synchronization unlocks significant competitive advantages, it introduces severe systemic friction. This critical review examines how dual-drive architectures and shared digital infrastructures facilitate knowledge transfer, while exposing the operational bottlenecks in heterogeneous data federation and integrated ERP–WMS workflows. Evidence indicates that digital returns are fundamentally governed by organizational readiness and inter-organizational boundary-spanning capacities—factors frequently marginalized by deterministic, linear adoption frameworks. Simultaneously, decentralized omnichannel models and shifting cross-border data mandates present severe compliance and security liabilities. Rather than progressing along a seamless digital trajectory, enterprise maturity reflects continuous negotiation between standardized enterprise blueprints and localized operational contingencies. Consequently, technical connectivity alone cannot drive logistical agility; future research must transcend siloed perspectives to model the multi-stakeholder feedback dynamics essential for resilient digital supply ecosystems.
