3. Manuscript Selection and Publication Process
Step 1: Submission Acknowledgement If you submit your manuscript online, you will receive an automated “Submission Acknowledgement” email. For email submissions, the editorial assistant will provide a confirmation within 1-2 working days. If you do not receive this, please contact us immediately.
Step 2: Basic Review & Plagiarism Check The editor determines whether the manuscript fits the journal’s aim and scope. Subsequently, the manuscript is checked for its similarity index by iThenticate (powered by CrossCheck) to ensure academic integrity.
Step 3: Double-blind Peer Review IJCSE employs a double-blind system for peer-review, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least three experts (one internal editor and two external reviewers). The review process typically takes 2-4 weeks.
Step 4: Acceptance/Rejection Decision The final decision is based on the reviewers' suggestions. If opinions conflict, the Editor-in-Chief will weigh all comments to arrive at a balanced decision or initiate a second round of review.
Step 5: Notification Corresponding authors will be notified of the review results and editorial decision via email.
Step 6: Revision and Article Processing Charge (APC) Authors are required to make revisions based on the comments provided. As an Open Access publisher, IJCSE charges an Article Publication Fee (APC) to cover the costs of high-quality publication, including typesetting, DOI assignment (Crossref), plagiarism checking, and long-term archiving. This model allows the full text of every article to be freely available to readers worldwide immediately upon publication.
Step 7: Online First Publication Manuscripts will be published online shortly after the completion of revisions and processing of the publication fee. This ensures the fastest possible dissemination of your research.
Step 8: Post-publication The online PDF version of the manuscript is free to access, download, and redistribute under the CC BY 4.0 license. If a print version is requested, hard copies may be arranged for the corresponding author.
